ITU Aquathlon World Championships (1ST), 9th September 2009, Gold Coast, Australia. Distance: 2.5km run/1km swim/2.5km run.

The start of an amazing run of world championships from Kevin Fergusson taking out the M50-54 age group.

kev_Olympic-world campionship-2009ITU Olympic Distance Triathlon World Championships (1ST),  12th September 2009, Gold Coast, Australia 1500m swim/40km cycle/10km run.

This race produced world championship number two for the incredible Kevin Fergusson, after winning his age group in the Aquathlon a couple of days earlier. Kevin setup his win with an outstanding swim/bike combination to give him an impressive lead going into the 10km run. Age Group men who qualified for the IRONMAN World Championship

A look at some of the Age Group men who qualified for the IRONMAN World Championship 2012.

Athletes racing at Ironman Melbourne always pose a threat to place very high in their age group in Kona; two examples we have already seen in Farrell and Coppock. Others that are sure to cause a stir in the respective age group include two-time top five finisher, Sam Hume.
